Paws of Change: How Animal SAYS Is Creating a Kinder Future

In a world that often rushes by, Animal SAYS chooses to slow down—for every wagging tail, every rescued paw, and every kind soul dreaming of a gentler tomorrow.

Back in 2016, we started as a small group of animal lovers with a big dream: to change how animals are seen, treated, and loved in our communities. We didn’t have much, but we had heart. And since then, that heart has guided us through every monsoon, every meow, every moment of magic.

Who could forget the 2018 Chennai floods? While most of the city battled water, we battled fear—rescuing animals left behind, huddled under broken roofs, and hidden beneath cars. Those were the moments that showed us what we were really made of.

But the real beauty? It didn’t stop there.

Building More Than a Network—A Family

Whether it was joyful adoption drives by the waves at Edward Elliot’s Beach or early morning feeding rounds in sleepy neighborhoods, we kept showing up. We built a family—not just of volunteers, but of adopters, students, changemakers, and dreamers who wanted something better for our four-legged companions.

We’ve walked into classrooms at MGR Janaki and SIET colleges and walked out with hundreds of young hearts ready to care. We’ve hosted virtual youth summits and marched in the unforgettable SAYS Hope March, inspiring students across India to believe that kindness isn’t just a value—it’s a movement.

Because Compassion Shouldn’t Have Limits

Between 2021 and 2023, our compassion grew wings. Through Naturie SAYS, we reached over a thousand school kids with nature education that made them fall in love with the Earth all over again.

We even explored economic empathy—launching an e-commerce initiative that helps the Nilgiri tribal communities sustain themselves through crafts and green products. Animal SAYS isn’t just about animals anymore. It’s about life—all life.

What’s Next? A Dream That Feels Like Home

Now, as we approach our 9th anniversary this October, a new dream is taking shape. Imagine this:

A vibrant adoption center in the heart of Chennai or Amaravathi.

Sunlight streaming through green leaves.

Happy barks. Soft beds. Gentle music.

And somewhere, a shy pup taking their first brave step toward a forever home.
