Our Animal Welfare Journey 🐾❤️

Animal SAYS began its journey in 2016 during the Chennai monsoons, when a simple act of feeding stray animals grew into a powerful movement of compassion and advocacy. What started as a grassroots initiative has since evolved into a multifaceted campaign that touches lives across communities. From our mini adoption drive series in 2019 to 9 mega adoption drives at Edward Elliot’s Beach by 2023—where over 250 animals found loving homes—our mission has grown steadily. Our work extends beyond adoption: the Naturie Says nature conservation camps educated 1,000+ school children from 2020 onwards, while interactive online classes during Christmas 2021 introduced over 100 primary students to stray animal care. We’ve led awareness campaigns across major schools in Chennai—impacting over 6,000 students—and hosted major community events like the SAYS Hope March advocating for environmental protection and animal welfare. Our initiatives expanded to tribal welfare and cultural education in the Nilgiris, including an ongoing e-commerce platform for indigenous communities. Partnering with prestigious colleges like Loyola, MGR Janaki, SIET, and more, we’ve championed adoption, animal health, and environmental action. From DIY bird feeder workshops to intergenerational connections in old age homes, Animal SAYS continues to be a beacon of hope, creating an empathetic society where animals and humans coexist harmoniously.
